Digital Retinal Imaging

The technology is now available to capture a digitized image of the back surface of your eye (retina) and all the major structures on your retina. These images are extremely useful in the diagnosis of many ocular diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, hypertensive retinopathy, macular degeneration, tumors, etc. It is definitely true when they say, "a picture is worth a thousand words." We offer a complementary first copy of the digitized pictures of your retina for your personal medical file. If you are over the age of 40, we recommend yearly imaging to monitor for changes in your retina. For more information, please contact our office.
